The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.

SASSA might be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency mentioned it truly is alarmed about the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a significant amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office focused on service the area each day. The provider level designed for intervention experiences a high inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to empower the servicing of all shoppers and enhance access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
